WHO WE BE
Radiating with positive vibrations, Territory Six is the homeland of self-expression for free-spirited souls. It is your ultimate destination for unique and sustainable artistic designs; an Afro-Caribbean style fusion of creations made with madras (the fabric of the Caribbean) and fabrics from the motherland such as ankara, kente, and batiks. Each design is deliberately made in limited quantities to encourage individuality for all our confident and enlightened beings setting their own limits and trends.
OUR MISSION
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, textile waste accounts for 5% of all landfill space. We at Territory Six aim to reduce our textile waste contribution by making most of our items to order and creating something unique and stunning with every square inch of textile as possible. We love and embrace the challenge!

MEET THE CREATOR
Inspired by what is and what isn’t; past, present, and future.. Auraah Merlissa Thomas has always been captivated by the creative process. The transformation of an idea into reality, from scattered pieces to a harmonious whole, is truly magical. What could be more fulfilling than bringing to life what was once just a dream?
Born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, she was immersed in a rich culture of black pride and heritage. This foundation instilled in her a deep love for the traditional fabrics of the Caribbean and the African diaspora, such as madras, kente, batik, and ankara. She is equally inspired by the natural beauty of the land and sea, incorporating elements like shells, gems, and semi-precious stones into her creative vision.
Auraah is forever grateful for her time at The Art Institute of California, San Diego, where she honed her skills and explored the many facets of design. From patternmaking and color theory to screen-printing, surface design, and mastering CAD programs, her education provided her with the tools to bring her ideas to life.
Sharing her passion with the world, she has recently been featured in magazines such as L’Officiel, Glamour, My New York Magazine, and more. Her designs have also graced the runways of New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, earning admiration from movers, shakers, and doers alike. The opportunity to express herself through this medium is an incredible blessing, and she hopes her journey inspires others to pursue their own as well.
